July 9th, just after 9:30 pm, officers responded to a robbery attempt at Family Dollar located at 704 N 7th St. There, they met store personnel who said that a black male subject attempted to rob them as they were leaving for the night. The attempt was unsuccessful, and neither of the employees was hurt.
On Saturday, July 13th, at approximately 2:00 pm, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Party Shoppe located at 204 W 24th Ave Apt B. Store personnel stated that two black males entered the business and immediately pointed guns at them. Both of the suspects then walked behind the counter and emptied the cash registers of money. The unknown suspects then fled the store on foot.
Again, on Sunday, July 14th, at 3:00 pm, officers were called to 306 S 7th St to an armed robbery at In and Out 306 S 7th St. In this case, a black male enters the store and points a gun at the employees. The male collects the money from the cash register and leaves the store.
Detectives obtained a photo of a 90s model Buick that may have been used by the suspect(s) in two of the armed robberies. A notable characteristic of this particular car is that the driver’s side door is missing the black trim.
