Crisp County Sheriff’s Office
On June 27, 2024, Crisp County Sheriff’s Office received notice of an arrest warrant issued by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office for Ashley Arizmendi. Arizmendi, a civilian
employee assigned to the Animal Services Division, resigned from her position upon notification of the warrant and was subsequently turned over to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office was unaware of Arizmendi’s involvement in an active investigation prior to receiving the arrest warrant, which is a breach of agency policy. In accordance with this policy, the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an internal investigation.
