Stolen vehicle recovered and arrests made

On Sunday, June 23rd, around 11:30 p.m., three male subjects illegally entered Quality Auto & RV’s lot, located at 1002 E 11th Ave, and went through multiple vehicles on the lot. After a short while, the subjects entered a dark blue extended-cab 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, drove through the main gate, and went westbound on 11th Ave. As of this time, this vehicle has yet to be located.
This morning, just before 4 am, a Crisp County Deputy attempted to stop a gray Dodge pickup truck in the area of Sheppard Ct and Clegg Rd. The vehicle stopped after a brief pursuit. Our officers responded to the scene and assisted the deputies. Further investigation revealed that the truck was possibly stolen. Officers contacted the owner, who said the truck should have been at Quality Auto & RV on 11th Ave. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
Two juveniles, ages fifteen and sixteen, face charges of theft by taking, criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, and entering auto, with the possibility of more charges pending as the investigation continues. A third, nineteen-year-old male from Cordele has been charged with party to a crime – motor vehicle theft.
