It’s getting pretty spooky in Cordele.
Cordele Main Street is sponsoring two Halloween-themed events for area residents that are guaranteed to put folks in a ‘spirited’ state of mind.
“The Ultimate Nightmare” is a haunted attraction that lives up to its billing. The event, which will be open 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26; Saturday, October 27; and Wednesday, October 31, is not recommended for ages under 13.
Admission for “The Ultimate Nightmare,” held at 117 W. 11th Avenue, is $8 per person and $5 for those with a student ID.
People of all ages are invited to attend Cordele’s “Downtown Spooktacular” on Tuesday, October 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cordele Historic Museum located on 105 E. 9th Avenue.
Free activities for trick-or-treaters of all ages will be featured at the “Downtown Spooktacular,” including costume contests for kids, adults, and animals; dance and musical performances; lots of games; and appearances by the Lion’s Club’s Leo the Lion, McGruff the Crime Dog, and members of the Lion King cast.
At South Georgia Tech’s Cordele campus, prizes will go to the top three individuals and the program with the most participation in its annual costume contest. Crisp County Center students will begin their Halloween activities on Wednesday, October 31, at 10:30 a.m. and will feature Tune Trivia, a live DJ, snacks from the culinary arts department, and more.
