Cougar cross country team wins region title, Lady Cougars finish third

The Crisp County High School cross country teams hosted the region 1-AAA championship meet on Wednesday afternoon. The Cougars won the region title while the Lady Cougars took a third place finish. The state run is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Carrollton November 3.

Crisp won the region title by finishing ahead of runner up Cook County, third place Worth and fourth place Monroe. Voiner was the overall top finisher on the day and Rischar finished second in the individual standings. Runners from Cook finished third through fifth while Crisp County’s Richmond was the sixth place finisher.
