Cordele Police Reports August 6 – August 15

Monday, August 6
•At 12:41 a.m., Cordele Police personnel conducted a traffic stop in reference to a traffic violation. The offender was issued two traffic citations and released at the scene.
•At 3:01 a.m., Cordele Police personnel conducted a traffic stop in reference to a violation. Three offenders were in the vehicle at the time and all were charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, while the driver was also charged with two traffic violations. The driver was Vernier Troupe, and the passengers were Katrina Patrick and Chimere Lucas, all of Cordele.
•At 11:25 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 127 Edgewood Drive in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with a the complainant who stated he had a weed eater taken from his work truck around three weeks prior to the day. The complainant advised he knew who took the equipment and where it was located.
Tuesday, August 7
•At 9:00 a.m., Cordele Police initiated a traffic stop on a green 2000 Dodge Caravan on 16th Ave and S Pecan St. Ashley Cook, of Cordele, was charged with No Proof of Insurance, Expiration and Renewal of License and Registration and License Requirements.
•At 9:40 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 45 Rosewood Circle in reference to Simple Battery. Edward Mumphry of Cordele was arrested.
•At 10:41 a.m., Cordele Police received a walk-in at the Department in reference to an Assault on the previous day. Priscilla Glover, of Cordele, was charged in the case.
•At 3:26 p.m., officers responded to 603 N 4th St. in reference to a Theft.
•At 6:03 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Freds at 102 E 14th Ave in reference to a follow up on a previous date in reference to a shoplifting case. Henry Jones, of Lake Butler Florida, was charged with Theft by Shoplifting.
Wednesday, August 8
•At 10:23, Cordele Police were dispatched to Griffin Lumber & Hardware at 407 W 8th Ave in reference to fraud. Once on scene, an officer made contact with the complainant who stated that she had gotten an email that was fraudulent.
•At 6:17 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 609 East 28th Ave in reference to the theft of a bicycle.
•Cordele Police personnel were called to the 600 Block of East 6th Ave in reference to a hit and run accident. During the course of the investigation, the complainant, Jackera Sutton of Cordele was charged with failure to report an accident with damage.
Thursday, August 9
•At 5:21 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Wal-Mart at 1215 E 16th Ave in reference to a theft.
Friday, August 10
•At 10:33 a.m., officers spoke with a complainant at the Police Department in reference to a Fraud.
•At 2:49 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 1011 Drayton Way in reference to Terroristic Threats.
•At 6:38 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a theft at Cordele Intermodel at 210 Harris St. Upon arrival, an officer made contact with the security officer who stated that an unknown black male had come in to the business and taken three fuel cars out of the semi trucks. The case was turned over to the detectives division.
Saturday, August 11
•At 8:32 a.m., Police responded to 203 S 13th St in reference to damage to property. Upon arrival officers spoke with the complainant who advised that someone had damaged a pair of her sandals on the tongue.
•At 2:33 p.m., officers responded to 712 S 8th St in reference to a disturbance.
•At 10:24 p.m., officers responded to the Ashburn Inn, in reference to an Assault.
Sunday, August 12
•At 12:08 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 504 E 20th Ave in reference to a trespasser standing in the complainants yard holding a gun.
•At 1:10 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 1011 E 21st Ave in reference to theft of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant about her blue 2011 Hyundai Elantra missing from her residence.
•At 6:50 a.m., Cordele Police responded to an entering auto at 902 E 19th Ave. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant who stated that she noticed some receipts outside of the car earlier.
•At 7:31 a.m., officers responded to 809 Starr Place in reference to a Disturbance.
•At 7:56 a.m., Police responded to Cordelia Manor at 1307 Blackshear Rd in reference to a deceased person.
•At 9:00 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 411 E 7th Ave in reference to Theft by Taking and Entering Auto.
•At 10:19 a.m., officers observed a Black Honda Accord driving eastbound on E 16th Ave and S 6th St. An officer conducted a traffic stop after noticing a brake light/Turn signal violation and later found the driver, Shontelle Davis, of Cordele, to be driving without a license.
•At 11:10 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 302 W 5th Ave in reference to a Disturbance.
•At 1:11 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Terroristic Threats at 401 W 22nd Ave. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who stated she was threatened by a male subject.
•At 2:21 p.m., Cordele Police responded to Golden Corral at 2110 E 16th Ave in reference to a Hit and Run.
Monday, August 13
•At 9:43 a.m., Cordele Police conducted a traffic stop on I-75 northbound in reference to a speeding black Ford Mustang. The driver, Taiger Glenn of Marietta, Ga, was arrested and charged with speeding and Driving while License Suspended or Revoked.
•At 1 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 57 Rose Wood Circle in reference to Unlawful Dumping where officers made contact with the complainant.
•At 1:50 p.m., Cordele Police were called to 105 E 13th Ave in reference to a wanted subject. The offender, Darius Jackson, of Cordele, was placed under arrest and transported to the Crisp County Jail.
•At 2:28 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 902 E 6th Ave in reference to an entered auto. Nothing was missing from within the vehicle but the passenger’s side window was damaged. A report was filed and an increased patrol was requested for the area.
•At 2:58 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a hit and run accident. The driver of the suspect vehicle was not located but the owner was. Kaylen Sams, of Cordele, was charged with allowing an unlicensed person to drive. She was cited and released and an accident report was completed.
•At 3:30 p.m., Cordele Police personnel were called to East 14th Ave in reference to a wanted subject. The offender, Michael Cobitt of Arabi, was placed under arrest and transported to the Crisp County Jail.
•At 8:05 p.m., Police were dispatched to Dollar General at 402 S 7th St in reference to a Theft.
Tuesday, August 14
•At 9:14 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 41 West 23rd Ave in reference to a Disturbance.
Wednesday, August 15
•At 12:11 a.m., Cordele Police responded to 306 N 12th St in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that four males entered his residence with firearms and took cash and a checkbook. The case was turned over to investigations.
•At 1:53 p.m., Cordele Police responded to 505 W 23rd Ave in reference to Harassing Communications.
•At 3:54 p.m., Cordele Police responded to a walk-in in reference to an Entering Auto.
•At 5:20 p.m., Cordele Police were dispatched to 112 N 12th St in reference to a disturbance.
