Branch Manager and Mortgage Lender at Colony Bank

CORDELE – Bob Evans, Market President of the Cordele Market of Colony Bank, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Hester, Commercial and Consumer Lender, and Amber Jenkins, Branch Manager and Mortgage Lender, were recently promoted to Vice President in the Cordele market.

In making his announcement, Mr. Evans stated, “I am pleased to announce these well-deserved promotions, which will broaden our banking leadership team here at Colony in Cordele. Both Amber and Jeffrey have been instrumental in the growth of our branch. I am confident that these two will continue the growth and success of our customers and their financial needs and delivering the excellent service they expect. Both have a genuine concern for their customers and community.”

Hester serves as the Commercial and Consumer Lender for the branch and has been with the company since 2006 when he joined as a Credit Analyst.

Jeffrey Hester is the past-president of Kiwanis and also serves on the Crisp Area Habitat for Humanity Board as Vice President as well as on the Main Street Board. Jeffrey graduated from Valdosta State University in 2006 and GBA’s Georgia Banking School in May 2013. Most recently, Jeffrey graduated from an 8 month long Locate South GeorgiaLEADS.

Originally from Fitzgerald, GA, Hester now resides in Cordele.

Amber has 12 years of banking experience and has been on the Colony Team since 2010. She enjoys helping her customers realize their dream of home ownership and assuring that Colony Bank’s brand and reputation flourishes by delivering exceptional service.

Mrs. Jenkins is actively involved in the community as a Board Member for the Cordele Rotary Club, serves on various boards for other community organizations, active with the Chamber of Commerce, and is the Treasurer for the PTO at Crisp County Primary School. Amber also makes it a priority to provide financial literacy to our area schools.

She is currently working to attain her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern and holds a BBA in Marketing from Valdosta State University as well as AAT in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Georgia Technical College.

Amber is married to Wes Jenkins of Cordele and has a 9 year old son, Hayden Herrington.
