Cordele Police reports

April 9, 2018
- Officers responded to the area of 3rd Street and 13th Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival the officers spoke with Mr. Eddie Walker, upon running Walker’s information, Walker had a warrant through the Crisp County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Walker was apprehended and taken to the Crisp County jail.
April 12, 2018
- Officers were dispatched to 606 West 20th Avenue in reference to a disturbance.
- Officers responded to 903 West 22nd Avenue in reference to a theft and apprehension of Jacqualine Jones. Jones was later arrested.
- Officers responded to the area of the 500 block of East Oak Avenue in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival the officers had negative contact with anyone shooting.
April 13, 2018
- Officers responded to 1504 East 16th Avenue in reference to a harassment.
- Officers responded to 720 East 18th Avenue in reference to a theft.
- Officers responded to 1610 South Joe Wright Drive in reference to criminal damage to a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. Upon arrival officers spoke with the mother of the victim and she stated that her sons tires had been cut. Upon observing, the officer could see where the tires were cut with what seemed to be some sort of sharp object.
- Officers responded to 2109 E. 16th Avenue (Motel 6) in reference to a vehicle being struck by another vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the vehicle owner of the damaged vehicle and she stated that when she woke up she saw that her car had been backed into. There was visible damage to the rear of the vehicle.
- Officers responded to 302 West 23rd Avenue in reference to a reported burglary.
April 14, 2018
- Officers responded to 601 West 11th Avenue in reference to a criminal trespass.
- Officers responded to 1015 East 8th Avenue in reference to an entering auto.
- Officers responded to 603 West 22nd Avenue in reference to a burglary.
- Officers responded to the 1700 block of 16th Avenue (Gas N Go) in reference to possible drug activity. Officers arrested Brandy Nicole Pate of 414 Oakland Avenue, Cordele for illegal possession of controlled substance, possession of drug related objects and illegal possession of controlled substance, Garhardt Bittner of 515 East 12th Avenue, Cordele was also arrested for illegal possession of controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.
- Officers responded to 205 North bass Street in reference to reported harassment. Upon arrival the officer was contacted by the complainant who stated that someone has been throwing things against the windows if her apartment. The complainant also stated that the activity goes on all through the night, every night.
April 15, 2018
- Officers responded to the 700 block of West Town Avenue in reference to a male caller who identified himself as Xzavier Haggins. Central Communications advised that Haggins claimed to have been chased and shot at, he also stated that someone hit his vehicle causing an accident. He advised the communications center that he had been hurt and needed EMS.
- Officers responded to 114 South 7th Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim and they stated that numerous tools and a large air compressor were taken from the bed of his Toyota pick up truck on the morning of April 14, 2018 and April 15, 2018, two separate times.
April 16, 2018
- Officers were dispatched to 1215 East 16th Avenue in reference to a theft by shoplifting.
- Officers responded to 401 West 22nd Avenue in reference to criminal trespass.
- Officers were dispatched to 402 South 7th Street (Dollar General) in reference to a retail theft.
- Officers responded to 115 West 1st Avenue in reference to a theft.
