William “Drew” Hauesler

William “Drew” Hauesler, 26, went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He passed away at his residence in Cordele after a long-fought and courageous battle with brain tumors and cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Pinecrest Baptist Church. The committal service will follow in Bay Spring Cemetery in Crisp County. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Drew, the son of Lee and Jana Brown Hauesler, was born in Cordele. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He prided himself in being the chief chef at Georgia Southern tailgates. He was a project engineer with Allstate Construction in Perry. Drew was an active member of Pinecrest Baptist Church where he found his passion for construction and serving others through World Changers mission projects. He was a member of the Young Couples Small Group at Pinecrest and the New Life Sunday School Class at Cordele First United Methodist Church. Drew was an avid gun collector, hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited. Drew is survived by the love of his life, his fianceé, Kaylee West of Cordele; his parents, Lee and Jana Hauesler of Cordele; sister, Ivey Hauesler of Cordele; his second family, Lee, Lori and Karlee West of Cordele; and his best pal, “Tank.” His is also survived by his uncles, Terry, Ken and Kirby Hauesler, all of Arabi and David Brown of Pineview; and his beloved cousin and caregiver, Eddie “Peanut” Helms of Arabi; He was preceded in death by grandparents, E.C. “Boe” and Lola Belle Hauesler, W.T. “Billy” and Ruth Brown and “other” grandmother, Grace Hauesler.
