Wright or Wrong Pickems

What can one say when there team loses. Well I don’t think I would have left my Quarterback in the game but then there maybe more to the story than we know. I certainly hope the Bulldogs can bounce back against a good Kentucky team and generate some offense. Picking a total of 21 games this weekend I went 16-5 with a couple of upsets I picked not making it and of course my dawgs lost, bummer!
I now stand 111 for 148 which is a winning percentage of (.750) for the year.
Let’s get this week started with some picks. I like Temple over SMU, along with Notre Dame, Florida, Stanford and Iowa. Duke invades North Carolina and I feel they are still stinging, take the Tar Heels at home. The Clemson Tigers look unbeatable and I do believe they are one the best teams in America. FSU however is one of the luckiest and with everyone back healthy they pull the upset and send the Play off committee in to nose dive in their first week. If that isn’t enough then TCU @ Oklahoma St. should add to their agony. With TCU having found some defense lately I look for them to beat the Cowboys in a good game. Memphis and Utah should handle their assignments this week but some of the following games might get testy. Arkansas @ Ole Miss, hmmmm Rebels at home . Auburn @ Texas AM hmmmmm Aggies at home. Michigan St @ Nebraska conventional wisdom says Michigan St but they have not impressed me all year. However Spartans escape with a win in a very hostile environment.
Kentucky heads to Georgia where the Dawgs have been snake bit for a win. Look for Georgia to find some offense and win this one 31-24. In the biggest football game of the year so far LSU enters Tuscaloosa. Everyone knows that a two loss Nick Saban team is highly unlikely and that know one is better at bouncing back from a loss and winning a national title. The key to the game is LSU passing game. They are going to run and run but Alabama has the best upfront seven in football against the run. In a slug fest Bama wins 14-12. Don’t count LSU out of the picture though!!!!!
In high school action Crisp Academy is finished for the year. Wilcox is at home hosting Atkinson County. I see the Patriots getting a hard earned victory. Fullington gets away with a win against Unity Christian. Dooly County travels to play Greenville and earns a victory. Crisp County will be in hosting position this weekend as the Worth County Rams visit the Den. After a dismal loss to the Rams in the third game of the year I see the Cougars making this into more of a game. In any championship run you have to catch a break. The Cougars will need some to beat Worth and they will get them Cougars 21-20.
