Entering Autos Suspect Arrested

CRISP COUNTY – On Nov. 15, Crisp County Sheriff’s Office disseminated a press release in regards to five entering autos that were reported within the previous two weeks. Investigators Bray and Eason were assigned to these cases. Last week Bray and Eason received a lead from a citizen that led them to Worth County. Investigators were then able to locate a vehicle at a residence, consistent with photos gathered from a citizen’s camera system in relation to the entering autos.
Crisp County Sheriff’s Office then contacted Worth County Sheriff’s Office and worked in tandem to make contact with suspect at the residence. Upon interview, Nakevious Carter confessed to entering automobiles and taking firearms. Subsequently Nakevious Carter, 19 year old male resident of Warwick, Georgia was arrested December 6 at approximately 6:50 p.m. Carter is charged with five counts of Entering Automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony. After confession, a weapon was recovered under a residence. Sheriff Billy Hancock thanks Worth County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance. This case remains under investigation by Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division in hopes to retrieve additional stolen weapons.
