Funeral services for Jack Mallory of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Pinecrest Baptist Church. The committal service will follow in Red Oak Cemetery in Worth County. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Jack, 79, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. He was born in Dublin and was the son of the late Mattie Burson Mallory and Agnes Lucille Lord Mallory. He was an active member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and was a Post Master (RET)with the United States Postal Service. Jack had such a love for people and enjoyed helping others through Habitat For Humanity. An avid stamp collector, he also enjoyed working in his shop and doing home improvements. Jack loved roller skating and water skiing but his true passion was for his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna Deloach Mallory of Cordele; two daughters, Renee Ruby and her husband, Eddie of Atlanta and Tish Brittingham of Albany; three step-children, Bill York of Fairfax, VA, Tommy York, Jr. and his wife, Greta of Omaha NE and Angie Jordan and her husband, Milton of Albany; five siblings, Ferrell Mallory of Oren, UT, Wyolene Sellers and Jacquelyn Coleman, both of Dublin, Victor Mallory of Warner Robins and Janice Nipper of Dublin; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
