A time to remember and honor the life of Charles Marty Trail, Jr. of Cordele was held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family greeted friends prior to the service Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Marty, 53, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital. He was born in Atlanta and was the son of Wanda Jean Murkerson and the late Charles Marty Trail, Sr. Marty was passionate about his job as a paramedic with Crisp County EMS. He loved life, and his family, especially his grandchildren. “Big Daddy” as he was affectionately known by his children and “Pa” by his grandchildren is survived by his wife of 13 years, Melissa Kaye Bowen Trail; three children, Roxanne Brewer and her husband, Kenny of Donalsonville and Joshua Bowen and Stacy Rathel, both of Cordele; his mother Wanda Murkerson and his step-father, Ted Murkerson; three grandchildren, Rachelle Brewer, Ansely Brewer  and Keltzie Brewer; and two brothers, Patrick Coleman of Jonesboro and Ricky Coleman of Jakin. He was preceded in death by siblings, Stacy Joe Williams, John Coleman and Angela Murkerson. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
