From the start of the game till the last out. The Crisp County Cougars were snake bitten on base hits Thursday night. It appeared that every ball hit was directly to someone and the two hits the Cougars managed did not produce any runs. Crisp dropped  a 7-0 decision to the Worth County Rams. The Rams won their 2^nd ever region title and the first since 2006. Ty Johnson started for the Cougars on the mound and went 3 innings before giving way to Hudson Coleman who went 3 innings as well. Billy Jones came on in the seventh to finish the game. From an early blown call at first on a pick off play from the catcher Adam Burnette to 1^st baseman Dee Purdy nothing went right for the Cougars the whole night. “We put the bat on the ball but every time it seemed to find someone and to their credit they didn’t make any errors,” said Head Coach Bill Pate. It looked as though Worth got several really cheap hits and the Cougars caught zero breaks, as the game was closer than the score indicates. “ My congratulations to Worth and Head Coach Will Smith on their region title they have played some good ball this year,” Pate added. The Cougars travel to Sylvester to take on the Rams in the season finale on Friday night. The Cougars will be headed to Savannah to take on Jenkins the number 2 seed from region 3 in a best of three series. First game is at 1pm Friday the 28^th and then at 4pm, a 12 noon third game will be played at Jenkins on Saturday should it be necessary.
