Prevent Child Abuse/Adopt An Angel was out in full force Thursday at the Lions Club Fairgrounds. This was really the culmination of the work of so many people in the community. Prevent Child Abuse coordinated with Adopt An Angel and The Gateway Center, and Toys For Tots was helped out by Ruben Collins from the Faith Baptist Church out of Selville. The Cordele Fire Department was also on hand putting bikes together. This annual event was held together by Malcolm King of The Gateway Center and has been growing every year. Deserving families were allowed to submit wish lists and Santa was called in to meet their needs. Those who received the gifts were as grateful as those whose volunteer efforts made it all possible.
