A graveside service for Glenda Webb Hearn of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Glenda passed away Wednesday November 13, 2024, at Fellowship Home of Cordelia Manor. She was 77. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Scott Hearn. Born in Valdosta, she was the daughter of the late S.E. Webb and Merle Griffin Webb. She retired as a GM Manager of Winn Dixie Stores and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Glenda loved reading from her large collection of novels and watching her favorite TV shows which included cop shows and American Idol. She was also an avid Braves fan. Her family, especially her grandchildren brought the greatest joy to her life. Glenda is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Todd) Helms of Cordele; a sister, Kathy Roberson of Naples, FL; two granddaughters, Karsen (A.J.) Hooper of Dalton and Haley Helms of Cordele; a great-granddaughter, Amelia Grace Hooper of Dalton; and her extended family, Gail Helms, Lana Churchwell, both of Cordele. The family wants to say thank you from the bottom of their hearts to Fellowship Home of Cordelia Manor for the love and care that was given to Glenda during her last months of life. Memorials that would somehow make life a little easier for other patients to Fellowship Home in memory of Glenda would please the family.
