The “Lights of Love” tree lighting ceremony returns to Crisp Regional Hospital this year with guest of honor Kyle Bullington flipping the switch to light the tree. The need within the community for this type of community gathering could not be more obvious. Kyle Bullington is only 3 years old and has been diagnosed with B-cell Leukemia. He is currently in a fight and can surely use all the love and well wishes that this community can give. The tree lighting ceremony was a beloved tradition and many are thrilled for its return this year. It will be held in the entrance to the hospital at 902 N. 7th Avenue in Cordele.
“Lights of Love” has been part of the fabric of this community since Crisp Regional started the tradition in 1995. The main intention for “Lights of Love” is to provide members of the community with the opportunity to show how thankful we are for those who have made a positive impact in our lives. This could be anyone who you wish to remember. The “Lights of Love” tradition is a meaningful way to honor and remember someone special in your life to show your appreciation for that special someone.
Whether for a memorial or a special way to honor and remember special people in your life, giving to “Lights of Love” is a unique holiday greeting. The money raised is used within different areas of the hospital so they can continue providing exceptional care to the community. Your generous giving for “Lights of Love” you are in fact to a larger mission, to improve and save lives. The results of your generosity are often greater than any of us can imagine. There are two trees that illuminate in the main lobby to showcase ornaments with names in memory or honor of family, friends, loved ones, special teachers or mentors, doctors or nurses, colleagues, neighbors or anyone who has made an impact in your life that you would like to honor with an ornament.
The holiday is filled with so much joy, and “Lights of Love” is a heartwarming community event at Crisp Regional that celebrates the spirit of hope, strength, and togetherness. This year’s event will have a special significance as they celebrate a courageous boy, Kyle Bullington. Who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia. He is the guest of honor and will light the tree. This wonderful event will take place December 3, at Crisp Regional Hospital’s main entrance at 6pm. The tree lighting symbolizes the strength of the human spirit and the power of love within the community. Kyle will light the tree and his sister Kori will light the angel on top of the tree. After the tree is lit, there will be refreshments available. The hospital gift shop will be open for Christmas shopping.
Crisp Regional is a rural hospital with the mission to provide quality care and they are dedicated to the community and show this through events like “Lights of Love”.
