Barbara Easom, age 81, of Vienna died on October 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Elzy and Martha Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Lynn Ray. Barbara was employed with the Macon County School System, and member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Dooly County. She was extremely talented in sewing. She enjoyed the outdoors in her vegetable garden, which lead to her love for cooking as one of her favorite things to do. Barbara’s family was very important to her. Because of her cooking skills she fed the family often as they spent time together around the table. Barbara is survived by one daughter, Martha Kent (Randy); two sisters, Jimmie Greene (Ray) of Vienna, and Bonnie Sue Tanner (Dan) of Rupert, GA. She was a special Mawmaw to her grandchildren, Amber Kent and Heather Kent of Hanceville, AL. There will be a graveside service honoring Barbara at Sunnyside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 19, 2024, with a visitation immediately following the service at the graveside.
