Mary White Gilliam of Cordele passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Crisp Regional Hospital at the age of 60. Born in Cordele, she was the daughter of the late T.W. White and Betty Taylor White. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tommy White, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Eugene Gilliam and Dianne Gilliam. Because of her love for children, Mary worked at First Methodist Day Care for over 21 years, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She had a sweet, humble, and loving spirit and loved everyone that she knew. Her words were always kind when talking to and about others. She loved being a wife and mother and tending to all their needs. Mary enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching TV. Some of her favorite programs were Deal or No Deal, Wrestling, Little House On The Prairie, and The Waltons. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Grady Gilliam of Cordele; three sons, Brandon Gilliam, of Cordele, Jason Gilliam of Americus, and Timothy Gilliam (Dusty) of Cordele; four grandchildren, T.J. Gilliam of Adel,  Kylee Gilliam, Kenzlee Gilliam, and Paisley Gilliam, all of Americus; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Keaton (Jason) and Joellen Mullis (Jack), all of Cobb; a brother-in-law, Roy Gilliam (Gail) of Cobb; four nieces, Tracy Evers (John), Angel Owens (Daniel), Veronica Gilliam and Crystal Smith; four nephews, Randy Mullis (Paige), Keith Gilliam (Nicole), Donnie Gilliam, and Justin Gilliam (Nichole). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church with burial following at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, October 15, 2024, at Rainey Family Funeral Services from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
