CORDELE — The Dollar General Store on 7th st in Cordele has been the scene of several Armed Robbery’s. On Monday night at approximately 8:55 pm a robber tried and failed. Armed with a handgun and dressed in dark clothing. The suspect described as a black male with a t shirt pulled over his head approached the
building from the North side and grabbed the door only to find out it was locked.
Unable to gain entry the would be robber fled the scene headed West on 14th Ave. “We want to encourage our citizens to please call if you see something suspicious and our business owners to ask for an escort at night,” said Det. Ketorie Sales.
