Citizens may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles at the “old Middle/High School” this week as the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a active shooter training at the old for the next two weeks. They have invited law enforcement and first responders from the community and surrounding area.
This comprehensive training involved preparation, skill-building techniques, and realistic simulations of potential real-life scenarios. Throughout the exercises, First Responders dealt with intense sensory distractions such as loud noises, simulated gunfire, and role players screaming.
The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank Crisp County School system for allowing us to use the vacant campus to conduct these critical training exercises. Additionally, they express appreciation to our dedicated role players, whose active participation greatly enhances the authenticity and effectiveness of the simulation drills.
