Marie Tucker Apperson, 64, of Sycamore passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Marie was born in Tift County on June 14, 1959 to the late Eugene Tucker and Hazel Bryant Henning. She was a member of Christian Union Church of God in Ashburn. Marie was an avid homemaker for many years and loved gardening and making her yard look nice. While she enjoyed shopping, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her mother, Hazel Henning of Ashburn; her husband, Norman Apperson of Sycamore; her children, Jamie (Jeff Cameron) Rouse of Ashburn, Ryan (Dawn) Rouse of Arabi, and Nicole (Jamie) Jennings of Sylvester; her brothers, Ellis Gravitt of Ashburn, Randall Tucker of Raleigh, NC, and Kent (Tashila) Tucker of Arabi; her sisters, Tammy (Raymond) Haney of Arabi, Michelle (Terry) Manders of Cordele, Chasity (Nick) James of Perry, and Susan Tucker of Arabi; and her grandchildren, Braiden Rouse, Gary Rouse, Addie Watson, Meckenzie Rouse, Wyatt Jennings, Emery Jennings, Kylee Cameron, and Kason Cameron. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
