South Georgia Technical College recently recognized several students on the Americus and Cordele campuses who successfully completed the Nurse Aide training program. Instructor Janice Wiseman presented each student with a certificate recognizing their achievement.
At the SGTC Crisp County Center in Cordele, the honorees were Christian Jones of Rochelle, Avery Jordan of Cordele, Parth Patel of Cordele, Brittany Collins of Cordele, A’kayla Jackson of Cordele, Nigel Brooks of Vienna, and Jasmine Ridley of Cordele. In Americus, Emily Born of Marietta and Brooke Parrish of Butler were recognized.
Wiseman offered encouragement to her students as they prepare to enter the workforce. “You’re going to find that as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you’ll be part of a team. You are the eyes and ears for your nurses, and it takes the whole team working together in the health care field,” Wiseman said. “I am so proud of you. You worked hard. You’re on the right path, and the world is yours.”
The Nurse Aide program at SGTC is one of over 200 programs offered by the college leading to a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit. Apply now at www.southgatech.edu. Spring semester classes begin January 11.
