Entering Autos becoming a problem in Cordele

Between November 27, 2023 and December 4, 2023 there has been a large number of entering autos in Cordele.
November 27th reports:
- One break and enter of auto, broken window, steering column with wires exposed and no items missing
- One break and enter auto with ignition broken, steering column damaged and no items missing
November 28th reports:
- One break and enter, flap of ignition laying on floorboard, unknown how the car was entered into. center console and armrest had been gone through. No items missing
November 30th reports:
- Told by neighbor that someone was trying to break into car. Vehicle was unlocked due to fob issues. did not appear items were taken. Footage was caught on ring camera.
- One break and enter of auto, locked with one window down. Glovebox and center console had been gone through. Missing cash, and multiple bank cards. Footage was caught on a camera from a near by security camera. Owner of vehicle had multiple cards missing and received a declined transaction for bank card from Cordele Food Mart.
- Vehicle states that a toy had been stolen from their vehicle, doors were locked although they had issues with rear drivers side passenger door not locking. Other entering autos had occurred in the same area.
- One break and enter of auto, doors were locked , no sign of forced entry and nothing missing.
December 3rd reports:
- One entering of auto, owner of vehicle stated that a firearm was missing. Unknown if vehicle was locked or not. Footage was checked from store cameras but did not see anyone near the vehicle.
- One break and of auto, car had been entered and tires slashed. Doors may have been unlocked.
December 4th reports:
- One break and enter into auto, vehicle steering column had been damaged. Passenger side door had been tampered with.
- One vehicle stolen from carport, unknown if keys were in car but are missing.
