Ideal is a small town in Macon County in Georgia inside the USA. I’m not sure if Ideal even has a Red Light, but that’s okay because some of the best people come from little places. The Lord Jesus Christ grew up in tiny Nazareth. Obviously, nobody is in the same league with Jesus, but occasionally we are blessed by Almighty God with special people who provide excellent examples to follow. Phil Streetman is one of those rare combinations of wisdom, diligence, talent and humility.
In many places and many ways, Phil Streetman finds ways to communicate in a caring, effective and excellent manner. During his three years of service in the US Army, Streetman worked in Europe for American Forces Radio (AFM). Upon reflection, Jesus gave the utmost sacrifice since he is the only Perfect Person. Next to Christ, we should always take time to thank Veterans next. As a civilian, Phil is grateful for the opportunity to be a Radio and Television Broadcaster of Good Things for 57 years. The radio Stations are WMJM in Cordele and WWWN in Vienna. Streetman is best known for his long-term service for WSST-TV in Cordele.
Brother Phil Streetman serves in many capacities including Founding Pastor, 1983, of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. He delights to spend time with his wife, Elizabeth and Children, Leeza, Amey and Phillip. During his ministry, Streetman previously served Pastorates at Antioch Baptist Church in Pulaski County and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Dooly County. Through heart surgery and everything he does, Phil does not seek personal praise. “I have been blessed beyond all measure and give all credit and praise to Father God.”
Phil reminds me of Joseph and Daniel in the Old Testament. These men of God were bold and brilliant but kept their feet firmly planted and knew they were clay vessels in God’s hands. “So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace,” (Genesis 41:16). Daniel said to the king, “There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days,” (Daniel 2:28).
