Charlotte Brown of Cordele passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her residence at the age of 82. There will be no service but the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Charlotte was born in Three Oaks, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Leland Payne and Delores Bunker Payne. She was an Estate Sales Agent (RET) and found much joy in the interaction with her clients and customers.  Charlotte loved people but she had a love for animals that was hard to be outdone by others. She fed cats and dogs all over the county, wherever she saw a hungry mouth and a need. She was always eager to help wherever she could. Charlotte is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Brown of Cordele; four sons, Tony of Jacksonville, FL, David of Dallas, TX and Rick of Akin, SC and Brent of Folsom, LA; four brothers, Jack Payne, Tim Payne, Garry Payne and Mike Payne, all of Michigan; and a sister, Ann Whitby of Waco, TX.
