Funeral services for Dewey Wade “Dickie” Dickerson, 71 of Cordele, will be Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel Of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Due to social distancing guidelines, seating for the service will be limited and all in attendance are encouraged to bring and wear a mask. The burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will be receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dickie  passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020.  Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Dewey Wade Dickerson, Sr. and Sara Davis Dickerson.  He was a painter (RET) and a member of the Baptist faith. He loved people and enjoyed life to the fullest. His heart belonged to the children of the area as he and his wife, Vicki were Cordele’s favorite Santa and Mrs. Claus for at least 30 years. Dickie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicki Dickerson of Cordele;  a son and his wife, Chris and Misty Dickerson of Cordele;  four granddaughters, Jesse Harmon and her husband Branden, Jordan Dickerson, Tori Dickerson and Emma Dickerson; and a sister and her husband, Tina and Gary Parker of Cordele.
