James Clinton Fountain, 83, of Cordele passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  He was born in Turner County and was the son of the late William C. Fountain and Rosa Lee Foskey Fountain. James was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy O’Neil Fountain and daughter, Sherry F. Fennell. A United States Navy veteran, James was the president (RET) of Zimmer Manufacturing. He loved the outdoors so working in his yards, planting a vegetable garden, and fishing made him happy. Closest to his heart was his furbabies. He was of the Baptist faith.

James is survived by his children, Clint Fountain of Cordele and Candace Fountain of Portland, Ore.; a brother and his wife, Larry and Kathleen Fountain of Ashburn; and his beloved and trusted friend and companion, Betty Johnson of Cordele.
