Wilcox High to celebrate graduation on June 26

Wilcox Board of Education approved the following 2020 Graduation as follows:
Over 50 percent of seniors responded to a survey offering choices on types of graduation ceremonies due to COVID-19 restrictions. The students overwhelmingly chose a graduation ceremony on the football field at night. The date will be June 26th at 8 p.m. at Donnie Clack Field in Rochelle.
There are a total of 83 graduates this year; each will be allowed 5 guests, and seating will be marked to keep guests and graduates at safe distance. Each guest must have a ticket to be allowed to enter.
The Ceremony will also be live streamed for those who do not attend or receive tickets. If the 26th is rained out, the ceremony will take place on June 27th at 9 a.m. on the football field. Graduates, staff, and board members will be on the field, guests will be in the stands with honor graduate parents and guests seated between the 40-and 50-yard line on each side of the field.
The original graduation date was May 22nd.
