Severe Weather Bottom Line: The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center has expanded the slight risk of severe storms to include portions of the Florida panhandle in addition to southeast Alabama and southwest Georgia.  The remainder of the area remains in a marginal risk.  The general timing remains unchanged with the threat window anytime from this afternoon into the overnight hours.  A graphic is attached depicting the threat.

Overview: A cold front will bring the potential for isolated to scattered severe storms to the region, mainly from this afternoon and through the overnight hours.  The main threats are expected to be isolated to scattered instances of damaging wind and mainly small hail, but a couple of tornadoes across the region cannot be completely ruled out.  This threat still does not look as widespread as previous events this month.
