From a statement released by Crisp County Funeral Homes regarding theirĀ COVID-19 Coronavirus Policy:
“In light of the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the funeral homes in Crisp County have an obligation to protect the welfare of our families in the community.
While we choose to walk by faith and not fear, we must exercise sound judgement, respect and comply with the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, while continuing to service our families in times of need.
Effective Immediately and in place until further notice, the following guidelines have been adopted by all the funeral homes in Crisp County:
- Please limit in-person visits to necessary pre-need and at-need funeral business or to handle financial and insurance matters. We will be happy to assist via telephone or email. As always, we will be accessible 24 hours a day in order to serve you.
- With the current recommendations to limit mass gatherings to very small numbers, we will conduct only private graveside/memorial services in open, outdoor areas.
- Formal public visitations have been suspended until further notice. Private viewing for immediate family members will be arranged on a individual basis.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we work diligently to serve the community. As guidelines from the Center for Disease Control are altered, we will revisit our plan in order to stay in compliance. We pray for the safety and well-being of all.
Sincerely,
Bentley Carson Memorial Funeral Home
Hughes & Wright Funeral Home
J.W. Williams Funeral Home
