Patricia Manders, 78, of Cordele passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Theodore Thompson. A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Sunnyside Cemetery. The burial will follow.

She was born in Geneva, Ala. and was the daughter of the late John Harvey Blackie and Ethel Dora Garvin Blackie. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. Patricia loved getting prettied up, shopping and getting her hair done. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains. She is survived by her children, a daughter, Debbie Adkins and a son, Chris Thompson, both of Cordele; a sister, Betty Westberry of Summerville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Chad Adkins, Justin Moody Adkins, Andy Adkins, Erica Glanden, Christy Holloway and Taylor Thompson; and eight great-grandchildren.
