CORDELE – Marylene Frost Williams, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 at Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Cordele, Georgia. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Ed Kiker Williams of Cordele, Georgia.

Mrs. Williams grew up in Thomaston, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late Riley Leon Frost, Sr., and the late Roma Norris Frost of Thomaston. She was a graduate of Tift College and spent many years in early childhood education. She was a local artist, and very active at Cordele First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her twin, Charlene Frost Tanner of Dublin, Georgia, and brother, Riley Leon Frost, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. Also preceded in death by four children; Charles Frost Anderson of Eastman, Georgia, Dana Gail Anderson, of Ormond Beach, Florida; stepsons James Williams of Cordele, Georgia, and Raymond Williams of Concord, North Carolina.

Survivors include her daughter, Terry Anderson Black of Birmingham, Alabama; step-daughters Claire Williams Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Rebecca Williams of Durango, Colorado. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to express deep appreciation for the care given to her by the staff at Crisp Regional Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, The Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor, and Reflection Hospice.

We will forever be grateful for her loving caregivers – Melissa McCloud, Rose Harvey, Yawnita Williams, Larrica McCloud, Dorothy McCloud, Christine Callahan, and Ireti Lawson.
