Annette Rooks Poole passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with burial following in Arabi Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Annette, 102, was born in Arabi and was the daughter of the late Walter Daniel Rooks and Eula Estelle Stewart Rooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Taft Poole, a daughter and a son , Sybil Poole Hubbard and Billy Wayne Poole, two brothers and three sisters. Annette was an inspector (RET) at Best Manufacturing and a member of Joy Fellowship Church. She loved her huge family which consisted of children, 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins. Her house was always the favorite place to visit when everyone came from out of town. She enjoyed reading and quilting and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower beds but her favorite thing to plant and grow was okra. She always kept everyone well supplied. Annette is survived by her three children, a son, Roy Poole of Westland, MI and daughters, Carolyn Poole Morris and her husband, Bobby and Helen Hulett all of Cordele; a daughter-in-law, Judy Poole of Cordele; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Rooks Alexander of Virginia.
