TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS FOR FRAUD

CRISP COUNTY- September 26, 2019
Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy Corporal Kris Herrick, arrested Keiyana Wiltz, a 21-year-old female, and Melwin Colon, a 26-year-old male, both residents of Kissimmee, Florida on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at approximately 4:20 p.m. Wiltz the following charges; 12 counts of financial transaction card theft, possession of marijuana, possession of firearm during commission of a crime, forgery in third degree, driving while license suspended, defective tires, and speeding in excess of maximum limits. Colon faces the following charges; 12 counts of financial transaction card theft, forgery in third degree, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana, false statements, permitting unauthorized person to drive, and giving false name, address, or birthday to law enforcement.
Herrick initiated a traffic stop on a black Cadillac CT6 traveling northbound on GA401/I75 around milepost 97 for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle, Corporal Herrick detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search of the car resulted in the discovery of suspected marijuana, several debit cards and checks that did not belong to the occupants, ATM receipts, money orders, cash, and three loaded firearms. Consequently, Colon and Wiltz were placed under arrest and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
