Thieves make off with rifle, vest from unmarked investigator’s vehicle

An investigator with the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office reported on Wednesday that their county-issued unmarked vehicle was broken into while parked at their Cordele residence overnight.
According to a CCSO press release, the rear window of the vehicle was shattered and several items were stolen, including a police rifle and bulletproof vest. CCSO is asking anyone who may have information regarding the incident to contact investigators at 229-276-2600. Tips can also be submitted via call or text to the office’s “See Something, Say Something” tip line at 229-322-8891. Anyone with information leading to an arrest may receive a cash reward.
