Funeral services for Idumea Smith Childers, 85, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Zion Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Childers was born in Cordele to Ira Haines Smith and Grace Wade Smith. She is preceded in death by her son, Keith Haynes Childers, her brother, Renay Smith and her sister, Rose Arant. She was a retired dental office manager. She was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church and a current member of Northern Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Kristy C. (Glenn) Hiner of Conyers, Ga., Kim Childers of Fort Valley, Ga. and Kirby (Karen) Childers of Powhatan, Va., and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
