Mamie Ellen Rowland Odom, 96, of Ashburn passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Mamie was born on March 23, 1923 in Worth County to the late Bertie R. and Ellen Singletary Rowland. She retired as the Turner County Clerk of Court and she was a housewife. Mamie loved to fish and enjoyed photography. Mamie also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was an active member of Amboy Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Kay O. (Ronnie) Kicklighter of Ashburn; sons, Steve (Susie) Odom of Ashburn and Alan Greg (Mary Jacque) Odom of Ashburn; grandchildren, Robin Kicklighter Grant, Jenny Kicklighter Hall, Matthew Odom, Payton Odom, Sarah Odom and Nikki Simpson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Grant, Sydney Grant, Jackson Odom, Joe Odom, Abram Odom, Ethan Odom, Carolyn Simpson, Allysa Simpson and Marcus James Simpson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Odom.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 at Amboy Baptist Church. The family will greet friends beginning at 1 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at the church Monday.
