CORDELE — Elsie Felder Slade, 93, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Slade was born in Cordele to Luther Eugene Felder and Martha Ethel Bennett Felder. She is the widow of Harold Leonard Slade. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Jean Slade, who died at birth and her siblings: Barsh Felder and Juanita Westbrook.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and taught the Ladies Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Ebenezer Homemaker Club and a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons: Hal (Janet) Slade, Gene (Beth) Slade and Greg (Cheri) Slade all of Cordele and Doug (Marcia) Slade of Rome, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
