The Cougar Connections bus, a project developed by the Crisp County Board of Education in partnership with local civic organizations, private donors, and corporate sponsors, made a stop at Wednesday’s Rotary Club meeting. The bus, when fully fitted, will serve as a type of mobile library that specializes in increasing literacy skills in young children. The Cordele Rotary Club provided grant funding to help pay for retrofitting the bus and provide educational materials.
