ELLAVILLE, GA — Mr. Herbert Gary Christmas, 67, of Americus, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville. Rev. Hugh Harbort and Mr. Aiden Ellis will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, GA. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00PM.  At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Charlotte Greene, 3512 LaCrosse Road, Ellaville. 

Mr. Christmas was born July 13, 1951 in Americus, GA to Sara Ann Persall Christmas and the late Herbert Lee Christmas.  He had worked as a ranger with the Georgia Forestry Commission.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and shooting pool. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Kathy Christmas of Americus, GA; daughters, Natalie Christmas of Ellaville, Anna Marie Bishop of Americus, GA; brother, Jerry Christmas (Patsy) of Cordele, GA; brother in law, Garry Greene (Sandra) of Ellaville; mother in law, Charlotte Greene of Ellaville; uncle, Charles Persall (Mary Ann) of Vacaville, CA.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Landen Styck, Gabe Styck, Jayden Bishop; niece Jennifer Edwards (Nick); nephews, Kevin Greene (Morgan), Kevin Christmas; and great niece, Reagan Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Garry Greene, Kevin Christmas, Henry Snipes, Gabe Styck, Richard Bishop and Jayden Bishop.
