According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the railroad crossing on State Route 33 Connector/Rockhouse Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 7 while Norfolk Southern performs scheduled maintenance work on the line.

Detours on GA 300, U.S. Hwy. 41, and I-75 will be marked for motorists. Information on road closures and traffic interruptions is also available at www.511ga.org or the 511 mobile app.

Work on the SR 33 Connector/Rockhouse Road crossing is not expected to take more than one day, although dates are subject to change depending on weather and the rail company’s schedule.
