Alene S. West, age 75, of 4225 Dooly High Road, Vienna, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Branford, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Stephens and Edna Hogan Stephens. Alene spent 45 years in the restaurant business in Albany and Unadilla and for several years, she was the owner of the Vienna Cafe.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Whitaker of Vienna; her son, Marc Johns of Vienna; her sisters, Viola Adams of Mayo, FL, Naomi Miller of Jacksonville and Daisy Howell of Jacksonville; her sister-in-law, Corliss Stephens of Perry, FL; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her dear friend, Norma Jean Hawkins of Vienna.
Alene was preceded in death by her sons, Wesley Johns and Randy Johns and her husbands, Buddy Johns and Len West.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 19 at Waters Memorial Gardens in Steinhatchee, Florida. Rev. Cricket Watson will officiate.
