CORDELE – Funeral services for John Henry Woodard, 91, were held in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, 2018. Rev. Phil Streetman and Rev. J. T. Smith officiated the services. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Marcene Freeman, pianist, played for the service. Frank McGarr sang “Beulah Land” and Jeff Presley sang “When the Crops Are Laid By.” “Well Done” was played at the conclusion of the service.

Active pallbearers were: Bruce Smith, Brian Smith, Mike Holder, Mike Jones, Randy Woodard, Hunter Smith and Zack Smith. Honorary pallbearers were members of Mr. Woodard’s Sunday School Class: Jimmy Warren, James Morris, Billy Forrest, Ed Barrett and J. W. Womack. Also serving as Honorary Pallbearers were members of the Middle Georgia District Supervisors of Soil and Water Conservation.
