Fanchon Brown Campbell, 89 of Cordele passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Blackshear Villa. She was born in Louisville, AL and was the eldest of three children of the late Alvin Marvin Brown and Eddie Mae Cox Brown. She was big sister to Patricia Anne Brown Wilson and Alvin (Scooter) Brown. Fanchon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Winfred Lee Campbell; a daughter, Donna Leigh Campbell Jackson, and her brother, Scooter Brown, Jr. Raised in Eufaula, AL and Georgetown, GA, she graduated from Georgetown High School. She married the love of her life, Winfred Lee Campbell in 1955 and moved to Warwick in 1957. They raised two daughters, Pamela Yvonne Campbell and Donna C. Jackson. Fanchon was an active member of Warwick Methodist Church where she was a choir member, a member of Young-At Heart Sunday School class and served as communion steward for over 40 years, As her children began attending school, Fanchon began to work outside the home, first managing the lunchroom at Warwick School and then as assistant to Dr. John Adams for 34 years. She loved reading, working on Heart of Georgia Walk to Emmaus Christian Retreats and traveling. She was fortunate to have traveled across the United State, Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, the British Isles, Australia and the Holy Land. She also helped on mission trips to Moldova and Guyana. Fanchon is survived by her daughter, Pam Campbell; sister, Pat Wilson; son-in-law, Victor Jackson, sister-in-law, Nancy Campbell and a granddaughter, Meghan Borstcheller Arrandondo (Bulmaro). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Warwick Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. They asks that memorial donations be made to Warwick Methodist Church, 199 Magnolia S. Warwick, GA 31786.
