OA Conclave 2025

Section E6 of Scouting America’s Order of the Arrow (OA) held its annual Conclave at Bert Adams Scout Reservation, near Covington GA, on April 4-6. According to the Section E6 website “Conclave is a section-wide event where we invite all our members to join us in training and fellowship. During our annual Conclave we have training opportunities from shows to the history of the order. We also have fun activities for all our members, no matter their activity level, to participate.”

Troop 270’s Terry Fennell and Britt Brinson joined twenty-four Order members, known as Arrowmen, from the South Georgia Council’s Withlacoochee Lodge attended the gathering. Other Scouts and Scouters were members of Lodges from Scout Councils located in Montgomery AL, Tuscaloosa AL, Columbus GA, Vesta Hills AL, Macon GA, Atlanta GA, Savannah GA, Griffin GA, Pendergrass GA, and Armuchee GA.

Seven Hundred fifty-two Arrowmen from eleven Lodges in Georgia and Alabama participated in a variety of activities. Among the weekend’s diversions were an OA museum, patch trading, an opening show, movie night, sunrise hike, ceremonies competitions, training sessions, American Indian Activities (AIA) activities, AIA dance competitions, and a Tailypo get together.

Saturday afternoon also included Quest competitions. The Quest events were tug of war, volley ball, wischixin, and ultimate frisbee.

Overall winners of the Quest events were:

  1. Alibamu
  2. Echeconne
  3. Withlacoochee

Withlacoochee Lodge competitors took 2nd place in volleyball and wischixin. The Lodge also placed 2nd in attendance. A new event this year was a cooking contest among the adult Arrowmen. Scoutmaster Rob Frock, from Troop 100 in Sylvester, earned 1st place in Entree and 2nd place in side dish and dessert.

Next years Conclave will be hosted by the Aracoma Lodge near Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
