A new technology campus could soon be developed in East Crisp County. Documents submitted to Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs (DCA) on March 6 seek approval for the project, which is being referred to as Project Splice.
The proposed site is located east of Cordele and west of Old Nesbitt Road, with an estimated value of $6 billion, as confirmed by the DCA. The campus would consist of seven buildings, each measuring 300,000 square feet, totaling a vast 2.1 million square feet—roughly the size of 36 football fields.
The construction of Project Splice is outlined in three phases, with an estimated completion schedule as follows:
-
Phase I: Expected completion in 2029
-
Phase II: Expected completion in 2031
-
Phase III: Expected completion in 2033
The developer behind the project is Red Wolf DCD Properties LLC, a company based in New Jersey, according to the DCA documents. If approved, Project Splice would significantly impact East Crisp County, creating jobs and bolstering the local economy.
