On Monday February 10, 2025, following Rochelle Municipal Court Chief Jimmy Banks held a badge pinning ceremony and swearing in of all members of the Rochelle Police Department.  Officers that had family members present pinned their new badges on, while others had their badges pinned by fellow officers.  The chief stated that he designed the new badges and presented them because the badges were all different types, and he desired them to be uniform. Following the pinning ceremony each officer took the Oath of Office as it was administered by Judge Shawn Rhodes the Municipal Court judge.  Chief Banks stated that he is proud of all the officers who serve the citizens of Rochelle.
