Seat belt violation leads to drug arrest

On February 10, 2025, at approximately 7:20 PM, a traffic stop was conducted by a Crisp County deputy in conjunction with the Georgia State Patrol at exit 104 of GA 401. The driver, Jessica Ray Fountain of Leesburg, nor either of her passengers, Robert Eugene Fountain of Americus, or Dennis Wade Keen of Cordele could provide any identification. Preliminary investigations revealed that both, Jessica and Robert had given false identifying information to officers. Due to conflicting stories of all the occupants and the false information given, the officers requested a canine. The canine provided a positive alert indicating that drugs were present. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the trio. Located in the vehicle were large amounts of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, as well as a loaded .380 pistol. Sheriff Hancock commended the officers for being vigilant in their efforts to keep our community safe and removing drugs from our highways.

Dennis Wade Keen, a 27-year-old male from Cordele, GA, is charged with:
– Trafficking Methamphetamine
– Trafficking Fentanyl
– Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
– Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
– Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
– Giving False Name
Jessica Ray Fountain, a 34-year-old female from Leesburg, GA, is charged with:
– Trafficking Methamphetamine
– Trafficking Fentanyl
– Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
– Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
– Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
– Giving False Name
– Giving False Statements
– Failure to Maintain Lane
Robert Eugene Fountain, a 56-year-old male from Americus, GA, is charged with:
– Trafficking Methamphetamine
– Trafficking Fentanyl
– Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
– Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
