A fire struck a home on Slade Road around 1pm on Friday. There was a large contingent of trucks and personnel from Crisp County Fire. The fire was restricted to a single home on the property. The fire department responded in just minutes to deal with the fire. Sheriff Billy Hancock and a handful of deputies were also on hand to keep the public safe. The Cordele Dispatch is praying for the family of this home.
